I go to work on a combination of my Trek 3700 mountain bike and First Capital Connect's finest train. Other than that all I have is my 944.

I d love a P4! My Dad had a cyclops 75 when I was a lad. Then a 90.Me and the Missus had a P6 each at one time then swapped them both for a P5B coupe. Is yours a 6 cylinder? I like the way the wood goes right round the door frame! I m running around in a 1989 Volvo 240 estate, had it about 10 years now and its one of the most reliable cars i ve ever had! :)

sounds great! The back pages of Classic Car Weekly can sometimes be a good source of s/h parts for P4 s. I keep looking at them in the classifieds and thinking hmmm one day!! :)

Like Poprock, my 911 is my daily driver - but I don't commute to work, so I do under 5000 miles a year. Does the occasional school run, takes the boys to Scouts, occasional supermarket trip, the works. We also have a Xara Picasso diesel as the Porsche will not cope with a family of five, and the wife is not insured to drive the Porsche..

My '44s our only car. The wife doesn't drive & it's too quick for a learner  Only have room for one car anyway. Get to drive all sorts at work. Turbo Diesels mainly. My '44 is the all time favourite. Even after 20+ years it still fun to drive. Something many manufacturers seem to have forgotten is important. Most modern metal youi can fall asleep at the wheel with out trying. Maybe thats why the government wants us all to drive around at 28 mph so you don't get hurt when you nod off. :?

My 944 was my daily driver until the insurance trebbled last year. Now it's parked up until I'm willing to pay the cost. Lately I've been driving my Mk1 V.W. Polo....and I've got a Vauxhall Vectra in bits too.

Wow, a Mk1 Polo!
That's something you don't see very often nowadays. Nearly bought one of those myself years ago to run about in after my MKII GTI got written off.
