...coming home, feeling ill, checking the post and finding a bailiffs note addressed to your landlord saying that they are coming to reclaim his car tomorrow, then having a look at a closer look at the letter only to see that the license plate no. is not your landlord's car, but that of our beloved Porsche!!!

That is exactly what happened to me this evening. Been very stressful, but luckily when I spoke to the bailiffs they said they would only actually be able to reclaim the car if it was registered to my landlord via the DVLA. I wish they had checked the plate no. with the DVLA before writing it on the letter, would have saved me a lot of stress, put about 5 years on me!

Ah well, I'll be heading over to the council tax offices tomorrow to try and sort this mess out, not like I haven't got enough to do at the moment...

Thought I would share this just in case anyone else were to ever see a letter like that, since I didn't have a clue what my rights were in this kind of situation until I spoke to the bailiffs.
