Just need to have a Rant and moan

My 944 is still at Jon M's with it's bad smoking habit. They've sent the injectors off to be flow tested now as they've tested and changed almost everything else under the bonnet. At least they said the engine is fine.
My Golf GTTDI went in for it's MOT and service yesterday. Actually I dropped it off on Wednesday because it decided to shut down on me to a get you home safe mode. Turns out 2 sensors have gone on the DPF unit and VW haven't got one of them. Got one on order from Germany but won't be here until Tuesday  so number 2 car lost for weekend. If the sensor doesn't fix the problem though then it's the DPF itself at a cost of £1200  We bought the car new in Sept 2006 and it's done 21000 miles. Going back to VW tomorrow to sort out some sort of fit for purpose claim, 21k miles for goodness sake and there's the debate on here about low mileage cars  It also failed it's MOT on a bulge in the rear tyre which I didn't notice when I did a pre MOT check last weekend. That's the 3rd Pirelli PZero tyre to do that on this vehicle at £120 a time.
So I'm left with my company workhorse Nissan Primastar van and yes you guessed it, it's running but has started to splutter and stall until it's warmed up now the cold mornings have arrived which is exactly what it did last winter when they replaced a very expensive AFM or something like that.
I'm not liking cars at the moment and am going back to a pushbike I think. Could I carry a 3 section ladder and 2 roof crawlers on a bike :?:

Had my injectors cleaned & flow tested at Chipwizards. They were bad. Tough luck. You may need some new ones. Pirrelli have always been poor so no surprise there. Don't talk to me about new cars there horrendous. Good luck. :)

Unfortunately they were new injectors last year as part of the upgrade along with pump and regulator. Mark tried different ECU, throtle position switch, AFM, put a camera down the bores, 30psi pressure test on the boost pipes etc etc. Found the new spark plugs fitted 3 months ago were caked with soot but at least fuel isn't getting into the oil and the bores/pistons were all shiney and clean. I'm expecting to spend money on the 944 but the Golf was only going in for MOT and service wasn't expecting a potentially £2k bill :!: Much sucking of air through teeth occured after that phone call tonight I can tell you. Now got the weekend to stew over it, nice

I feel for you mate. :( I'm sure it will get better soon. Your 944 looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing it at the national show next year, so chin up and all that.

Where the new injectors tested before fitting? Often the new ones are faulty. Wayne told me he sends a lot back & didn't recommend I fit new ones!! Hope thats your problem as it's an easy fix. :)
