Wel a few weeks ago I had a father and son pull up behind ke at a shop. And I must say I thought of them as rather rude, in a f430 , I got out the car and before I entered the shop they were doing rings round my car. But they didn't even say a word, number plate prob cost more then my car sw 1. But there were in ore. I forgot my money, went back 2 car and they were still there pointing and talking, I nodded my head as reach in / the arm rest 2 grab some change. I then reentreed the shop brought my things then left, they were still there. I drove off and they left.

LOVE.

I drove a 360 a couple of years ago on a track day. What a car. That cacophony of sound behind your ears. I just couldn't think fast enough to drive the damn thing though. (Wasn't through lack of trying though). Its a time machine. You see the corner in the distance where you want to be and then you're there. Sensational. I'm sure with time and practise you could have a lot of fun in one.

Yeh, they said it was their owners club weekend up there.

TBH the cars are in a different league to what I can afford. The alternator for the 348 cost more than my 944, and they don't come up on fleaBay to often. Nice to have a shot off, but the bills just don't stop.

On another note, a guy who works with me won the lotto on Saturday, and is still working for us @ RBS in Gogarburn. 2 million and he came in for his Sunday shift because no one would cover him. I would have been at Glenvarigill for them opening on Sunday morning, and the job!!!!!

What would you do?.

 Unreal, although TBH I'd probably cover the job until they got a replacement for me as I really enjoy this role (the first time of working in 36 years!) & I don't let people down.

Yup Dancing Donkeys cost mega bucks to keep. Several are 24K or 2 years for cambelts & it is an engine out job to do it. While it is out most do a clutch swap & other work at the same time :o

"Dancing Donkeys". The most evocative marque in the world and it's a donkey!

I read some statistic in the paper recently that Ferrari spend no money on advertising. I think the brand just speaks for itself. I mean, any petrol head would have one type of Ferrari in their garage if money was no object. I don't tell me otherwise - I won't believe you.

It's just that they make a few less than demand. That way they can get silly money for the cars (& parts/service) & keep the second hand values up. Simples! Unlike Porsche that make shed loads so that there worthless. But then would I be driving one? Can't be an easy job selling 40-60K Porsche when if a few short years they will be trading for less than 10K

Are the prices of 944's ever going to go up? Or have we got to wait about another 40 years until loads have been scrapped.

Dropped in again only to find a 928 in the drive as well. I might have to go more often, see what else is there.

I'll sum it up for you, he has no kids, works during the day and played guitar in a band with me at the weekends (he still plays). I have 3 kids and gave up the band 12 years ago for a career. Turns out I didn't need a career, what I needed was money. :banghead: I have to admit, he is a very clever, skillful and patient man.
