 Post subject: Heavier Engine oil for 3.2 carrera

TIPEC membership: 6061
It has been recomended to myself that i should change oil in my car to a heavier 20w 50.At present running on 10w40 mobil one.Just wondered if any members have done this and if any draw backs.The engine is burning about half a litre every 500 miles.

I think the 20 will be too heavy for cold start, would be concerned on oil delivery at initial start up. If i were you send note to the OPIE oil man (see in member discounts) you will get good advice from them

Opie are the chaps. They know their stuff.

Previously I had been using Mobil 1 15w-50.

I now run Silkolene Pro S 10w50. Doesnt burn a drop.
