Just received Split/Second Velocity on Xbox360 today, 2 days before release well done Game. Had a quick play of first 2 races and all looks good. Graphics excellent, gameplay and car physics excellent real old school arcade feel and good idea of using power plays to take your oponent out to win the race on the final corner. Looks and feels a bit like a cross between Burnout and Grid Racer. I'll have a go with the online play at the weekend. Anyone else had a play yet?

I’ve been playing Split Second recently too. It’s a complete contrast to Forza 3; an arcade blast to counter the serious racing of Forza. Great big silly fun.

Andy, my Gamertag is designergeek if you want to add me. Maybe we can have an online race sometime.

Had a quick go at the demo and it was a lot more fun that I was expecting.

It’s nothing like a ‘proper’ racing game, more like Ridge Racer or Out Run with added pyrotechnics. Works quite well, I think!

I was gobsmacked the first time that 747 crashed on the runway right in front of my car!

Have you had a go at racing the lorries chucking exploding barrels out the back at you or dodging the missiles from the helicoptor gunships, Maaaaaaaad  That 747 crashing is pretty cool and jumping over the aircraft carrier in one of the runs was good. Have you seen the downloads though, you can buy all the cars and levels straight away. Not my way of doing things though I like the challenge.

Hey Gordon have you played against Jon and the boys on MW2, it's like respawn - die, respawn - die, they're too good for me, like most people are really

Ah well least I've got something to do while me 944 in the workshop, only went in for a fueling problem and has stayed in for a gearbox out rebuild :? Can feel me pockets getting deeper
