Had to take a Aston Martin Vantage in to JCT600 Leeds today. Well somebody had to do it.Two hours each way. Stuck to A/B roads to avoid delays on the motorway. :D What a machine. Very extreme & hard to live with as a daily drive. Suspension very joggley. Doesn't ride like my old '44. Sounds nearly as good as my Dansk when that flap opens in the exhaust. Lots of interesting metal in that place. Must be the credit crunch as they had cars from 12K in the showroom. A nice convertible Masarati & loads of cheap Lotus elise. Was tempted to pop into Porsche & wind up a salesman. It's just up the road. :bounce:

Was today any better for you? I hate it when I get 2 days like that in a row.

I saw a beautiful green Aston DBS cabriolet on a '10' plate this morning ... stunning it was. Pulled into the office car park and there was a H Reg Black 928 with can can and turbo wheels. Second time i'd seen the 928 in our car park. Don't think it is a colleague, must be a visitor I guess.

Regards
Paul

Do you work in the motor trade J.J?

Nice cars indeed! Surprised at how the 944 copes with modern stuff tbh!

No not in the motor trade. Just work for some well healed people. The Aston is mental fast. My old lux goes at half the speed. But it doesn't feel like that! The '44 also has a banshee howl when you let it rip. So it sounds faster than it is. Get away with loads. Fun factor is pretty similar. But at a fraction of the price. The Astons lost about 40K in depreciation. :violent3: Normally I just paddle driving these cars. Too much money & too risky. But the diff was playing up from lack of use so the mechanic asked me to open it up a bit going back.
