Ummm I think he has found the limits! It struggles to put the power down even in a straight line. And is being overtaken by much lower BHP stuff.
A guy used to sprint a Westfield with Cossie power & on a damp track when it came on boost it used to spin!

Was never a fan of the RS2. Leaf springs. Thats stone age! Looks like it would be faster with a lot less boost & a flatter power curve with more torque. Wouldn't want to be on track with that. It was all over the place!

:) This isn't pork either but it certainly embarrased some on the way round, not only got the power but can put it down as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwAnr4s4 ... re=related - there's another Golf on YT with an alleged 1200bhp but it doesn't seem to handle as well as this one, although much better than that Mk.11 Escort. Must have been a bit of a shock for the 911/Ferrari/Lambo/TVR drivers out there to be done over by a Golf although the Impreza was holding it's own in the twisty bits. :)

One of mt biggest regrets was selling my Escort RS 2000 when I got married to buy furniture and carpets for our flat. I couldn't see why we just didn't sit in the car? But I was 19 and in love. :D

I don't think I have the bottle to do that soet of speed these days. I just enjoy watching other people do it. I must be getting old. :(
