Has anyone used one of these before?

http://www.coversshop.co.uk/folding_garage_cars.htm

Thinking about getting one or two for the 944s as I don't want to use car covers and there's no room for a garage.

Any advice gratefully received.

:?: good idea how safe in high winds and would you have to put it back up after taking car out so that if it rains or snows the wet stuff stays on the outside of the cover, could use one of these for my boxster as have no garrage, tried to see how much but something wrong with web site.

Reminds me of the steel clamshells they use in the eastern block. Two problems I can see. Vandalism. (Would be useless here.) Condensation would render it pretty useless IMHO.

Interesting considerations Poison - thanks for that. As for the price, they are about £500.

They say that there is a gap around the base of the cover to allow air movement. There are other makes which use a tight weave canvas to make it breathable. I'm guessing they don't sell many though as I have never seen one.

Can't do much about the vandals apart from perhaps electrifying the frame.
