Fully working tested 944 ABS unit / ECU. Original part. Bought this as I narrowed down my ABS fault to either the ECU, or the pump itself - yep you guessed it, it was the bloody pump! This unit worked in my car so I put my original back on. Paid £35 for it, looking for as close to that back if possible. Photos attached. Hello, can anyone help me diagnose the abs ecu. My light it's permanently on. It doesn't go off at all. If I can decide that the ecu is shot, obviously I'd be interested in a replacement unit. Austin 09 seems to know how to tell. I've got 1k ohm on each sensor. brake light and abs fuses and abs relay are all fine. I'd really appreciate any insight. This sit has taken more than enough of my time already. Thank you. |

Hello Nick, I've been reading all of them. Im sure the pump works because in the early stages of trying to diagnose the dash light I disconnected the ecu plug and as it's close to the pump, I heard the pump do its usual cycle up as it would when one pulls away. The guy who is offering the ecu seems to know what signals the ecu is looking for from the pump and solenoid relays. I know I'm really close to cracking this. It worked fine in December, I left the car in the UK. When I returned in Feb ( someone had moved the car in the factory and claimed to have charged the battery. I dint know why as I always leave out disconnected. Loo and behold the abs licht is now always on. I harbour a view that these people fried the box when charging the battery by could be wrong. |

Hello, I've not been online for a few days, just catching up on those messages. I see from the other thread that you've cracked it, well done! I have the spare relays for the top of the pump as well if you're interested? I ended up putting on a second hand pump from a very low mileage california car so I have spare relays and some gubbins too. While you have your wing off, make sure the drain channel and splash guard are all clear and work well. My car had the plastic bracket missing which is meant to keep the water off the ABS unit as it runs down the drain channel. |
