I've just read up that there are 2 midnight blues for 1986, (L347) and Copenhagen blue (LY5B) My question is side by side whats the difference?!? I worked out that my car had a respray before I bought it. Years later I had some work done at a garage and they bumped the wing which they had resprayed by a Rolls Royce trained sprayer (I know him) but the wing seems to be a slightly different colour to the rest of the car apart from the sunroof!!! so.... my car is meant to be Copenhagen blue but did they spray the car L347 before i bought it. The wing and sunroof almost looks to have a purple tint in bright sunlight where as the old paint is more like a dark blue ink colour To be honest it could do with respraying again but it bugs me if you know what I mean.... |

Hi If you email Marc Noack at Porsche Germany classics dept, Ask nicely for a vehicle specification for your car, he will need the chassis number Marc.noack@porsche.de he may also be able to answer your question re paint code Maybe try and use some German if you can |

I cant find the sticker in the boot between the rear lights and cant seem to see one on the fire wall? I do however have the details in the service book. The car actually has "mileage" full service history but really has been off the road for almost 15? years apart from 1 year back on the road in the summer of 2004. This the time when I actually found a set of MINT!! 7+9 Fuchs which I bought from Uxbridge, the guy was selling his light blue metallic 1989 911 turbo cab and had an awful set of 17 inch split rims on it. I really felt quite guilty splitting the original wheels from the car but the asking price of only £500 with good tyres made my conscience fly out the window. I eventually sold them a few years later as I noticed a micro blister on one of them appear and thought it was a waste just sitting there, I did double my money but should have kept them.....
