I'm looking for the short exhaust pipe that bolts up to the turbo. I fancy modifying one instead of buying a 3" version.

Iv got one as well still attached to the turbo. Having fab speed one In my hand I don't think it would be to hard to remove your existing and get it copied in 3" would need to reduce back to fit stock exhaust bolt pattern unless you had that part changed as well.

Fab speed is 2 bends weild together and flange each end

I'm not confident I'll get the inner pipe out without cutting it in half so I'd make a jig to bolt it into first, so the correct flange position is important. TBH it wouldn't be worth much money to me as it is. Cheers anyway.

The important thing is the spacing and orientation of the flanges, hence using the original to make a jig. I'd rather cut up a spare now than wait until I remove mine.

You maybe on to something stock id is 58 and the od is 68 so 5mm thick however it dose look like the 2nd skin could stop before the flange so you would remove the out side rather then inner

Probably have to cut it in half to remove the inner pipe. The exit on my turbo is 63mm so looks like a gutted standard pipe would work.

It does but I thought if your cutting it up it might be OK. Also I haven't seen one on eBay for awhile

You're right, though I want the flanges to be in good shape. TBH I don't need the bigger pipe until I fit the new turbo, so I'll wait for a better one to turn up. Cheers anyway.
