Cylinder head from a 1991 944 S2 117K miles, I had a second head refurbished then swopped over only to find it wasn't a head problem but scoring to the bores and worn pistons. Car has been sold to my mechanic but the original head is in my garage no significant wear between the galleries, head gasket had not gone and the head has not been skimmed before, includes tappets but only one cam tower bolt for each cam bracket as these need to be replaced each time apparently. Could probably do with the exhaust valve guides replacing but was not showing signs of oil usage when installed. Includes valves, springs etc. still under the tappets not removed just as it came off the car. It will need cleaning as inlet is coked up (don't know why) and probably skimming before fitting no wear to the tensioner mounts so basically a good head needing nothing more than the usual refurb. No cams or tensioner fitted. Also have a number of Victor Reinz gaskets, cam cover seal, valve stem seals, spark plug seals and numerous end seals, my mechanic only used the minimum the head gasket, as we knew it was not going to be a permanent fix and would need more work. Did manage to confirm that Mk2 Golf GTI hydraulic tappets fit in the S2 head and work fine part number VW.050.109.309.J managed to get a set of genuine VW ones for £73 so well worth it if your refurbishing the head. |

Hi, how much for the cam cover seal and the plug seals ? (I assume you mean the seals at the same height as the cam cover seal ?) Thanks Neal |

Hi Neal I would prefer them to go with the head as a sweetener or at least at present sorry. |

Hi Ron, Sorry not going to the Classic otherwise I would bring it down for you. As for couriers I would be happy for you to arrange one to collect and deliver but I have had so many problems arranging this form my end in the past that I would prefer to let the buyer organize it. I can be home for collection most days or times if you arranged a pick up and let me know when it was due. From memory the gasket set was a complete top end set from Victor Reinze and we used the head, exhaust and inlet gaskets I think the rest are still there including valve stem seals. |

Hi Ron, No problems, if I was coming down that way with work I would drop it off for you. I used Paisley Freight to bring a Nissan Micra front end up from London a few years ago cost me around £25 but trying to get a time for collection at the other end was painful. But if you sort something out give me a ring 07711439784 and I can make sure I am in all day for the day of delivery. |
