I'm beginning to think my steering pump is the root of a strange "whooooing" noise I'm hearing. This isn't the usual power steering "whine" noise that sometimes develop, and it only occurs between 1000 to 2000 rpm, after engine warmed up (but it can go from time to time too...often more noticeable when engine under load)...
I've rebuilt pump (all looked ok inside) but noise still there. So, I want to try just changing it out, for a better (...hopefully) one. If noise goes, great. If not, well at least I can knock something else out of the firing line!
So, does anyone happen to have a spare/old/not required S2 (1991) power steering pump they'd be willing to flog to me?
