Hi,
I've had my Lux for a number of years, using it as a daily for a couple of years before only taking it out over the summer months.. It’s guards red paint was becoming rather pink and the sills were looking a bit bubbly so I decided to have the car restored.
After receiving a few quotes I went with a local body shop run by a friend. It wasn't long till I was called in to renegotiate as the rust was worse than first thought.
Long story short it ended up getting new outer sills, inner sills, floor sections, bottom of rear quarters and bottom of the front wings. In preparation for the work the complete interior was stripped and all glass removed. The car was then painted in guards red with only the doors left on the shell, all other parts painted separately.
The work took longer than expected and in the months that passed I got disillusioned with the car and started looking for a rusty turbo to rob some go faster bits from to transplant into the Lux once returned.
I ended up buying a turbo which was in much better nick than advertised, it ran well and didn’t want for much. It’s been one of the best buy’s I’ve ever made.
I finally got the phone call that the Lux was ready for collection - its just sat at the back of my unit ever since, I've not the motivation to touch it.
So here I'm asking if anyone would fancy taking on this project. The car is yet to be reassembled, its sitting on a set of cookie cutters. It's of the brown square dash type with tan coloured Porsche scripts seats and light tan carpets. The interior having been cleaned up since removal and the seats restored.
Car is in Dundee, viewing highly recommended
£1500
