To help towards returning our limited edition 924s to the road, I've reluctantly decided to sell my 944. It's a 1986 Oval Dash 8V model in Garnet Red Metallic (a sort of coppery-red), has done just under 118,000 miles, is MOT'd until 28 October 2009 and taxed until 30 June 2009. Condition: Excellent black pinstripe interior, the only blemishes being a split in the bottom half of one of the rear seats, and a small tear in the headlining above the same seat. The dash has a few small cracks but overall is pretty good. The carpets are in good condition with the exception of a small area of the boot carpet where it looks as if something has been spilt on it. It has nearly new Continental tyres on refurbished teledials which look to have a pearlescent finish - very nice! A new windscreen was fitted last year - it's one with a built-in aerial and I understand cost the previous owner around £600. It was serviced in February of this year when it also had the steering rack replaced and a reconditioned power steering pump supplied by Porscheshop. I have fitted new bonnet struts and hatch struts. The external paintwork overall is very good but there are a few small areas which need attention and the sunroof has started to delacquer so could probably do with a respray. There is no rust anywhere that I can see. There is a small circular dent above the nearside rear wheelarch. The only problems that I'm aware of that I haven't dealt with are the electric sunroof which doesn't work but I haven't had time to investigate why, and the heated rear screen where the connection to the screen needs soldering back on and the wire to the strut repairing. It's a really noce useable car which I have driven daily since I bought it a couple of months ago with absolutely no problems and if anyone is looking for a smart eye-catching useable car you'd struggle to find a better one for the price. I'm looking for £2,750 but will listen to snesible offers. |
