That's a weak excuse Stephen! I drop the back seats, take the quick release wheels off, and put the bike in the back. In fact I genuinely get two bikes in. One 22" frame, one 18" frame. Off to Blackpool (70 miles) with my beautiful wife (just in case she ever reads any of this), cycle 15 miles up and down the seafront promenade, play 'Death Race 2000' with the pensioners, get a cup of tea and some chips, come home. It's a good day out, a blast in the Porsche, a good bike ride, and if nothing else it proves to the current Mrs Ward that a 944 is a sensible useful car to have! I'd keep the car and buy a £300 Mk3 Golf to use as a workhorse - like the one I have just sold. |

where did all these cyclist come from lol. seriously im getting an audi a2 so the bikes can travel upright safely i have had my racing bike in the back but the bars have to be jammed in between the front seats. the price wil be reduced to 3995 to see what interest i can get, i know prices are low at thew moment, but its about what you want to buy next as much as what your selling for. keep cycling everyone lol stephen |

"i have had my racing bike in the back but the bars have to be jammed in between the front seats" - do you not take the wheels off it? Like I say, I get two in mine, along with all the other gear you need, cold weather clothing, water bottles, tools, etc etc. They're like rocking horse droppings, but if you look hard enough you will find roof bars for the 944. It was called a roof transport system, part number was 944 801 005 00. Your bikes could travel upright then. I've seen 911s with them on the roof. They also did a ski box, but you can't get your bikes in a ski box, and a tow bar system numbered 944 722 901 01 that you could mount the modern bike carriers onto. You're not old enough for an Audi A2 until you get your bus-pass! And when you get that old you're supposed to buy a Hyundai anyway ![]() |

How much would you expect to get for them? They're not really 'much sought after', rather 'rare'. |
