After way too long thinking about selling I have finally decided. I originally bought the car with the intention of never selling it but things change, lack of use and the valuable space it takes in the garage means it has to go.
The car as already stated is a 1991 (J) 944 turbo in Glacier blue with the dark navy blue interior, all the normal late turbo bits like the bigger brakes, AOR LSD, gearbox oil cooler etc. It has genuine Porsche cup 2 wheels in the correct offset for the 944 (original Porsche wheels come with the car). Ten speaker sound system, genuine Porsche Atiwe club port steering wheel, Porsche deep bucket seats, adjustable suspension dampers etc.
The engine has had new piston rings, big ends, mains, all the seals/gaskets, water pump, belts, erp head studs, valve guides/seats, clutch etc
The gearbox has had all new bearings and seals, rebuilt cv’s
The torque tube has had new bearings
The brake discs and pads are new
The suspension dampers are new
The car has had a few mods but the parts are with the car to put back to standard, I will list what I can think of right now. Garrett Gt3071R turbo with Tial stainless hot side, Vitesse racing MAF kit with uprated injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, three inch stainless exhaust, Tial waste gate with electronic boost gauge controller, Tial recirc dump valve, 5 wire lambda gauge that also shows fuel pressure, egt and boost temperature (data logs to a micro sd card too), all the bushes are poly bushes, Knock counter, alarm, etc
The body has had the bottom of the wings fully repaired (steel not filler), I believe the sills are original and they look ok(always passed mot) I have never jacked the car up on them was told years ago not to do it. The car looks quite nice but sadly there is a pea sized dent in the passenger door, after many years in the garage 3 weeks ago I knocked a machine guard and it fell into the door, this made me finally decide it had to go. The running /fog lights are perfect.
The mileage is about 159000 but as you can see the car has had many thousands spent on it. There are loads of receipts and documentation with the car, I haven’t used the car for a few years and it is kept covered in a dry garage. It is sorn and due to time, I would prefer to sell it that way, its runs fine, boost is set quite low due to all the new parts running in.
The car also comes with loads of parts, just about a complete turbo engine in bits plus a 2.7 head and bits I have forgot about. (I was thinking of making a 3 litre turbo) plus some 944 special tools and and original 911 type tyre inflator
There are some pictures on the 944 page under “Advice needed please”
I have never dare work out exactly what the car has cost me but I am fully aware that that money will never be recovered. I am looking for £16000 as it is with all the parts preferably from a Porsche enthusiast.
If you are interested or want more information, please ring me on 07306080193
