Post subject: | 924 turbo series 1 nearly completed project £1200 |
Changed circumstances mean an urgent sale is preferred for my nearly completed project -so car now up for sale. Project very near completion. Only looking at selling to cover unexpected expenses. Car was acquired in Oct 2012 having been off road since 2007. Has decent history prior to layup. Work completed: Replaced all turbo and exhaust gaskets and seals. Fitted replacement exhaust manifold (requiring engine out) S/steel studs and nuts fitted to exhaust manifold and turbo unit Wastegate rebuilt in USA and installed (fitted with 0.8 bar spring) Replacement wastegate pipe fitted Rebuilt rear brake calipers Replaced front struts and rear shocks New fuel lines and brake lines New fuel hoses and brake hoses Repairs to sills and arches Repairs to rear hatch holes Fitted 944 rear hatch Engine bay tidied up Replacement clutch master and slave cylinders Resprayed front wings (not a great paint match though) New speedo cable fitted Replacement 16 inch 928 alloys. With standard spacers at rear and 7mm spacers at front to provide clearance. Replacement washer bottle and oil seperator Lights, wipers and washers checked and replaced as necessary to ensure all work well for an MOT Interior is in good shape excepting one small repair to drivers seat squab. This is one of the rarer tartan interiors. Green gauges for a series 1 Engine fires easily and runs great. Good oil pressure (holding 3-4 bar when hot at idle). Pulls very well and is a quick car. Needs fettling prior to an MOT. Main issues - check rear handbrake effectiveness, replace overboost switch (this seems faulty at present), needs replacement horn (ordered), probably needs new radiator switch. A respray would be very nice - but beyond my means. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() To an ethusiast 1200 Located in scarorough Thanks |
