I've decided I've just got too many vehicles and so the last in is the first out.

MoT to end February 2014. Tax to end of July. Owned by two friends for the last 20+ years who used it as an everyday car but looked after it. Drives well and is reliable.

Stainless exhaust to rear box. Alloys have been powder coated. Body good for its age, but one or two areas could be tidied-up. It will need some welding to the sills - it didn't show up at the MoT, but after a prod last week, I've found two very tender patches. I don't think they are totally shot, but it will need doing. Interior generally very good, but usual issues with seat seams and aging vinyl.

I've sorted out a load of minor things and serviced the window mechanisms, fixed the interior heating, rear wiper and other odds and sods. I believe everything works except for the intermittent wiper - needs a new relay. I think I've cured the leaks on the rear hatch, but the sunroof could do with the seal sorting properly. The rear brakes have been completely overhauled with new cylinders and shoes. The tyres are legal but have some perishing.

£500 - SOLD

I'm in Ipswich.

Sorry about the shite photos, I'll take some better ones when (if) the weather improves.

Hi There,

I think £800 would be a fair price for it, but it does depend on how much tidying is needed. Suggest you ask for £1,000 and let a potential buyer beat you down, so that they think that they have got a bargain. You will never get more than you ask for it!!

I already have a 924, so regretfully, I am not in the market for one at the moment.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the comment David. I really need to move this on fairly quickly so want to price it so that, in the current climate, it will sell easily. I'm not too worried about the final price as the car was given to me and I just want to recover my expenses and see a little back for my time. Looking at completed listings on evilbay I see that 600-800 seems to be the final price for tidy runners with an MoT.

I should also mention I'd be interested in trades - motorcycles, guitars, hi-fi, machine tools, clocks, antique furniture, apple computers etc etc.... :D

Some interior shots would help potential buyers as well.

Headlining on the drivers side is the worst bit of the interior - needs some new vinyl:

Passenger side is OK:

Sorry that's a dreadful photo, but it's not hiding anything :)
