i have a porsche 924 turbo ex race car which i intend to sell in the near future. great spec, with lots of good parts, and benefitted from a full shell up rebuild by nick bentley motorsport around 10 years ago.
1981 series 2 924 turbo
originally blue, but had a full respray in yellow, inside/out/underside, and engine bay painted black
underside and components are all VERY tidy! engine very clean!
shell has been fully stripped off all underseal inside and out to save weight
shell is 100% rust free, very good!
i have a fair bit of paperwork for the car for maintainence etc, previous mot's for when the car was on the road
not currently road registered as been used purely for race/trackday use for the last 7 years
high spec car with the following parts
new trs 4 point harness and omp bucket seat, both dated until 2018
plumbed in fire extinguisher in date, with pull chords
battery cut off and push start
momo snap off steering wheel and boss
digital speedo (no dash)
no heater box, but retro fitted electric heated fan blower installed for demisting
leda coilover suspension on the front, adjustable height and damping, rear leda adjustable shocks with reindexed torsion bars
torsion bar holes with covers in sill for easy adjustment
g31 dogleg snailshell gearbox with quaife atb lsd unit
cookie cutter wheels, on 5 stud hubs, race tyres (good tread but old tyres)
front strut brace
free flow exhaust system stainless steel
braided fuel lines and brake lines, uprated brake pads
full weld in rollcage, multipoint, x doorbars, harness tubes, hoop reinforcement, a pillar gussets etc with foam padding
very good engine starts from hot or cold on the button, runs very well without smoke, idles perfectly, fan cuts in and out, boosts well, evidence of full engine rebuilds in the past, and recent clutch change
since i have owned the car i have given the brakes a service as 2 calipers were sticking. i will also be renewing the brake fluid with superblue high temp stuff
i have added further bracing and tubes to the rollcage for maximum strength and rigidity
the car will also benefit from a full service, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, cambelt, drivebelts, coolant and brake fluid change,
i can also supply and fit your tyre of choice if needed for extra cost
non sunroof shell
bad points are that the car has a few small

s as to be expected from a track/race car, nothing major.
the gearbox is also popping out of first gear when launching. usual wear and tear on the snailshell gearbox. rebuild parts are available from ideola garage in usa at very fair prices.(only needs first gear synchro/dog ring) tbh as a track car it makes no odds at all, as all the other gears work fine, and u spend all of one second in first gear to move off. if it were me keeping it, i wouldnt bother rebuilding the box unless using for racing where a hard launch may be needed.
this car would break easily for £5k if not more, with ease. many quality parts, and a well built car that was raced in classic porsche series for a few years before retiring for track day use.
this car would cost a bomb to build to this spec!
approx 180bhp as standard, and easily tuned to well over 200hp, a very lightweight car, with suspension setup and lsd will make for a very quick track car!
£4000ono. if this car does not sell within a month or so, it will likely be broken for parts as i need the space. but i would much rather sell as a complete car as it is! i dont think you can have much more fun for 4k, plus its a porschhe turbo! and a rare car at that!
new tyres of your choice can be fitted at extra cost to your requirements.
