Before I mothball the car for a potential future restoration I thought i'd offer it for sale in case anyone wants it. I don't really need two 944 luxs but equally I don't want this car to be broken or scrapped. So:

Very early 944 lux in guards red. No sunroof and solid sills.

Porsche scripted door cards
Three spoke steering wheel.
Textured rear spoiler

^all these things are unique to very early and pre production cars.

Cookie cutter alloys.
Good shocks front and back.
Good brakes.
Good clutch
Starts and runs fine, good emmisions

Mileage is 117k, no reason to suspect that this is not genuine.

The engine has been replaced, I still have the original should you want to put it back to numbers.

Paintwork is rough and the interior is not brilliant. No MOT or tax, but there is no reason why it shouldn't pass. If someone is genuinely interested i'll put it through a test. No service history.

It's a perfect track car, but equally could be a great road car with some tlc. It's a project at just the right stage to make a decision as to which way you want to go. Mechanically it's pretty much sorted, but cosmetically it could be better.

I've just joined up after reading this advert, I'm not too worried about the cosmetics but does it let in water? Any leaks from the engine - oil or water?

I was looking for an honest 924 but there's no doubt a 944 looks cooler :D
