Hi all,

Only just purchased from friend who's had it for 24 years, I have not even sent off reg docs yet. Purchased with the intention of using as a commuter for the winter, but have now been pressganged into purchasing an econbox.

A bit of history about the car, it was originally Follett Porsches demo car, then purchased by customer, then by my friends brother, he's had it since 11/88, used to use it for trundling up the motorway each week to his business in Scotland, during this time the engine was upgraded to the later 3.0, it's now done 230k. He really stopped using it as an every day car about 8 years ago, it's done about 10k in the last 5 years, but it's been garaged all of its life so the body/interior are in really good condition with only a couple of minor rust spots, sills being great condition. The last MOT expired in October '10 & its been garaged ever since, just taken out and started every now and again. I was at a dinner at their house, saw it, they said they wanted to sell it so I bought it as you do, much to my wife's dislike.

So details about the car
944 S 3.0 16 Ventiler
1987 D Registered
Grand Prix White
3 Owners from new
15" Teledials (recently refurbished)
Good Continentals
Interior in great condition
plain choclate brown vinyl / piped velour
All tools, sunroof bag, boot cover, spare wheel etc
Have all service books/manuals but invoices /mots foolishly binned when last owners moved house
No MOT/Tax
Small wear tear in drivers seat bolster
Sunroof not working
electric drivers seat, goes in every conceiviable direction except backwards is stuck!

The car is currently at JMG in Christchurch, I spent a couple of days checking things & giving it a thorough interior valet, then drove it 80 miles there from my house taking it down for a pre-MOT check, but now have been told by wifey I can't spend any money on it, so its gotta go.

It would make a solid project car or if someone is willing to replace pads, disc skimming, fuel lines & other niggling things to get it through the MOT, would be a cool runabout.

PM Jon at JMG if you need details about the car or PM me here.

Looking for £1100 or (05-07 plate Ford Focus or similar + cash your way) otherwise I'll reluctantly have to e-bay it.

Ian
