I've seen some over egged and over priced 944's of late but that most certainly ISNT one of them.
What a stunning car in a stunning colour !

If someone doesnt buy that then there is no hope for the 944

Best of Luck

Mas

That is a fantastic condition 944.

I may not be popular for saying this but the problem is that prices are so crazily low right niw that the asking price is above price being asked for the oldest Boxsters, some of which are in similarly nice condition (I wonder what Jim Hearndon paid for his?).

For me the 944 is the far better-built and far more distinctive classic. For non-944 fans the Boxster represents an easier and more modern drive and an easier ownership experience. Someone would have to really, really want a 44 to choose this over a Boxster (or find a few grand more for a 996) if they just "fancy a Pawsh"

If 944 fans like Jim can be tempted by the low price of Boxsters then we are talking about a very narrow target market for this car.

Mike I hope you get the asking as I admire anyone (or their brother) who keeps these brilliant cars in such a fitting condition

Looks very nice but I've never heard of Mike Holmes so when his advert starts telling me what I know and I wont find etc I move on. Good luck with the sale anyway.

Just heard my name mentioned!
Yup the Boxster does move the market, there are lots of 2.5s at around £5k, most will be very leggy & no or patchy history. I'd agree not as well screwed together, but 12K service intervals which costs peanuts. Also no belts to worry about which is a major expense on the 944, especially if you cannot do it yourself.
The Boxster is less practical against a 944, more expensive to insure & has the potential in the case of IMS failure to be a ticking bomb. Most seem to have a dual mass flywheel which makes a clutch change a similar price to a 944.

Small world, I just posted another thread enquiring after this 944.

It is a stunning car and stands out from all the other cars for sale on Autotrader and PH.
