Equipment -
ABS, electric tilt/removable sunroof, PAS, electric Windows, heated electric driver and passenger side mirrors, electric tailgate release, dual electric height seat controls on both driver and passenger seats, working digital dashboard clock/stopwatch, Autowatch cat 1 alarm system with remote central locking key fobs, original tool-roll and tools, unused spare wheel and tyre inflation pump, all in excellent condition, black leatherette Porsche sunroof bag for stowage of removable roof.

Condition -
Overall condition of the car is very good. Excellent condition original interior, 2 x Porsche club GB concours awards won in my ownership. The engine is superb with no knocking, clanging, or any other sounds. The car does not burn or leak oil, and I have never even had to top up the oil between annual services. There is no white smoke from exhaust and no murky brown water in the header tank either. Gearbox fluid replaced twice in the last 4 years, for no other reason than I wanted it done when the car was on the lift during annual servicing. No cabin water ingress leaks at all, all water drainage tubes are clear so that means no damp/ruined carpets or rusty floor pans. No cracks in the dashboard top, and the original Porsche leather steering wheel is also in great condition, as is the leather gear lever gaiter. Even the under–bonnet light works.
There is just one final point I wish to make on the car’s condition. There is a small paint blister at rear of driver’s side lower wing, just in front of the rear wheel. This only appeared in the last few months. This blister is not within the sill box/cavity section.

Ownership -
I have owned this great 944 for just over 4 years, it is a second car, and it has been pampered throughout my ownership and only driven in the warmer months on mostly dry days. I have averaged approx 3000 miles per year in my ownership. My 944 had 98000 miles on the odometer when I bought it from a PCGB member in June 2007. All maintenance work was performed by official Porsche Centres and Porsche specialists. In my ownership the car has had ALL servicing and maintenance work carried out at Hillcrest Specialist Cars in Nettlebed, Oxon. When some work needed doing, it was done without hesitation. Here is a summary of the work carried out in my 4 years of ownership, with of course receipts and invoices in my document file;
New starter motor, New water pump, New balance and cam belts, New belt idlers and rollers, New camshaft drive chain and tensioner pad replaced, lower front wings professionally repaired due to slight corrosion on lower extremities (common with most later model 944s), sill cavities, fuel tank straps, battery compartment and underside of spare wheel housing injected with Bilt-hamber Dynax S50 rust preventer, annual removal, clean out and Bilt-hamber coating of near and drivers side front plastic trims and inner wings. These trims can trap water/mud against the car body on late model 944s which then causes corrosion. 4 x toyo TR1 tyres 225/50 and 205/55, new front ARB bushes, new rear brake discs and pads, alternator core and bearings refurbished, new brake calliper plates all round, (all corrosion between plates and callipers removed) new rear glass hatch gas struts, new bosch high amp-hour battery.
Car comes with 2 pairs of keys, owner’s documents in Porsche wallet, plus as mentioned above a large file of service history and parts/service paperwork.

I am very sad to be selling my much loved car, but due to lack of use I feel the time has come to pass her onto someone else.

£5600 or near offer

Strictly NO CANVESSERS, or TIMEWASTERS please.

For any further info or to view my car please feel free to call me in the evenings on 07917640454 or email me on sdhjames@googlemail.com

Its a lovely looking car James. Why are you selling-up? Im confident that youll regret it, and clean and original S2s are few and far between.

Im surprised to see the non-standard indicator lenses though! :wink:

Hi Simon, yes I am very sad to be selling the S2, but I just dont have the time any more to drive it as much as I would like, and family finances are a bit tight at present so needs must i'm afraid. I will be very sad to see the car go though, she drives beautifully. :(
