It's time to sell my little MR2, I've had some fun with it and given it some love but now I want to get on with getting my 944 back on the road finally!
It's a 1990 non GT (with the 3S-FE engine)
101,000 miles but drives as if it's only done half that
Completely standard apart from a Momo gearknob which was bought to replace the frayed original. I still have the original which I'll leave with the car.
Good fuel economy for a 2.0 petrol sports car. After a hard run it still returns 27mpg.
Just had a full service including plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, engine and gearbox oil, oil and air filters.
Recently had a new cam cover gasket
New engine bay struts (or cancer bars as they're famously known)
New radiator fitted in January and system refilled with Toyota Longlife coolant
Everything works on the car, not a single electrical fault.
Removable sunroof
Toad alarm/immobiliser with 2 keys/fobs
MOTd until October but only taxed until end of June at the moment.
Complete with full service history
Sadly there are a few bad points and here they are
- Slight bit of lacquer peel on the top half of the passenger door
- Slightly miscoloured paint from a previous paint job on the passenger side rear quarter panel
- Previous bad paint job on wing mirrors peeling off
- Few car park dings (grrr!)
- Clutch biting point is rather high but not slipping at all
Luckily they're not terribly noticable and the car looks lovely for a 21 year old car especially considering it's a colour prone to fading.
Onto the pictures! The external pics are about a month old but the sun's done a disappearing act stopping me taking any fresh ones at the mo. The main difference is I've fitted fresh number plates.
This is the side with the lacquer peel and slightly off colour rear quarter, as you can see it's not terribly noticable
