[quote="Brett928S2"]Hi

Ahhh I didnt realise it was Simons old car....
Its a FANTASTIC car/engine, you could eat your dinner off the engine last time I saw it...
Its worth a LOT of money but in the current climate you wont get what its worth unfortunately

Why are you selling it by the way as you will NEVER find a better one ?
All the best Brett

Thanks for that Brett I do definitely realise I would not get a better one and would not be parting with this one if I intended to look for another :-
A bit of Background :-
I have had 2 previous 944's a 2.7 Coupe (Oct 2004 for 9 months as a starter) then an S2 Cabriolet (20 Months - Garage mods for this Cab) and before I retired (or Died!) wanted to finish off with a Turbo that has exceptional low/mid range Torque/performance.
It took me quite a few months looking (July 06 to Jan 07) before managing to purchase G886PUA from Simon Peckham, through Jon.
Some reasoning (as no doubt others have previously experienced) :-
Retirement, family commitments (wife doesn't drive & has no interest!), 3 cars and Months of heart-searching force a reluctant sale, Hopefully it will attract a deserving new enthusiastic TIPEC owner.
If I had a double garage and single minded circumstances I would seriously be looking at keeping it, spent weeks dry lining, insulation, Plaster boarding the walls. adding extra horizontal beams to fill in the pitched roof space so It could be insulated & boarded. Also have Dehumidifier & Heater (Car not been below 4deg in last 5 yrs!) plus 4 of the small rechargeable dehumidifiers actually in the car.
I have been pondering over selling for over a year now but finally made this difficult decision and rang Jon in April. My circumstances changed 2 years ago when I retired so will probably not change much any more!
I have had my dream 7 year itch with the best sports cars (Porsche!), never could afford one in my youth, and am selling all 3 cars and purchasing my 1st ever new car at age 67 for the rest of my (our) retirement - Volvo XC70 D5 AWD, an all rounder to include Towing Caravan-Scotland Holidays etc.
If I cannot get a reasonable price for the car I will not let it go cheaply! so will have to take stock and look at a few possible options to keep it until market possibly picks up or I die!!
1) A divorce (after 42 years of marriage last week!- not really a sensible option at this stage in life)
2) Suffer loads of family abuse by purchasing an Outdoor Carcoon to protect the Turbo (seriously thought about this {very quietly though!}} I could not leave a car of this quality outside.
Seriously though I have had a great deal of pleasure just driving this car (usually over 100 miles per outing) and now 2 years into retirement have too many family commitments to get the time to enjoy this most pleasurable of pursuits.
It really will be a sad loss but unfortunately for me Family now has to come first before selfish pleasures.
I hope that explains all and is classed as a genuine reason for sale.
