Hi :)

Never seen those wheels on a 928, I think most Stroseks had the 3 piece Comptomotive split rims.....but they could have been a personal choice...

All the best Brett :)

No problem Roy. I wish I had the money/time/space to buy this from you. It is a long term project for who ever buys it, but once finished would be supreme. The collective knowledge of the 928 UK site could get it going, but what would be the cost of the spares? If you could spend a day cleaning it up, someone might view it as a potential rolling project if they were to hear the engine running.

I don't usually look at the ads for 928's but stumbled across this and really like the styling.

I'd quite like to view this car if possible... I'll be up your way at some point over the next week.

It would be great to see this car go to an enthusiast and be returned to it's former glory.

I really like this car, cant be many about? I would imagine the wheels if refurbished would be worth a fair bit.

Good luck with the sale.

Hi Cogsy :)

Just looked at all the pictures closely...

Firstly I am amazed it started and ran after all that time under those leaves, at least it shows how good 928 16 valve engines are :)

Unfortunately there is HUGE amount of work to restore the car, which I doubt anyone will want to do :(

To fully restore it you would need a workshop and a couple of years as a guess and around £5000 to £9000 (including a respray), after which it would be one of the best 928s in the country.

I suspect you will have to either sell it for peanuts and get back nowhere near what you paid or break it for parts and get maybe 50% to 70% back.

If you do decide to break it :( ..(which I hate saying) , as I already mentioned, would take the bonnet, probably both rear wings, maybe the underwing (rear) and possibly the special front spoiler.

All the best Brett :)

Hi :)

Always nice to have a couple of spares and they might improve my aerodynamics for my 200 plus top speed runs :)

All the best Brett :)

Ive been a mere 'lurker' on here for a while now as i have been known to waste far too much time contributing to forums in the past :)

This is, or was, a great looking 928. However, if i were to buy it id would be looking to spend at very least £5000, ideally up to £10000 to give it the restoration it requires.

Based on this id be happy to pay up to £600 for it.

Keep us all posted with the progress Roy :)

And... If you change your mind, my offer still stands :)

I didn't mean to insult you by the way, £1000 is what I genuinely value the car at based on how much work needs doing to it - And that's before it's been properly inspected!
