1981 924 Lux in brown
Genuine 70k from new
Service history and old MOT's etc
5 previous owners, ownership history from new.
MOT until 25th August 2012
No Tax, currently SORN
Just serviced, oil, oil filter, air filters, fuel filter, plugs, leads, distributor cap and rotor arm.

I'm selling this on behalf of a friend who has emigrated and its registered in my wifes name, so effectively it's only had 4 former keepers.

Totally standard apart from Weber 40 DCOE's fitted around 7 years ago, around this time it also had 2 new front shock absorbers and a new exhaust from the downpipe back that remains in very good condition. The mileage was around 56k.

Mechanically its very strong, with the webers it coughs and splutters when started from cold, but after a couple of minutes it settles down to a smooth idle and runs very well. The transmission and clutch seem very good and the brakes seem fine too.

The bodywork is solid and rust free, the only rust being a very small patch by the right hand rear light unit (see photos). The paint is presentable, although it has been painted on the right hand door, left hand front wing and nose panel. The front valance is straight.
There is minor damage to the left hand door (see photos) that will probably need paint when repaired and a very minor dent on the leading edge of the left hand front wing by the rubbing strip - too minor to get a clear photo of. The rest is as you should expect a 30 year old car to be, its tidy but no where near mint.
Around the strikers for the rear hatch, the battery tray, the boot wells and the sills are all very good.

The wheels are straight but could do with painting to be perfect, the tyres are all matching Toyo's with 4-5mm of tread, all worn evenly.

The interior is very good, the seats have no wear or split seams although the material is slightly sun bleached. The carpets are the same, no real bad wear but exposed areas have faded. The boot carpet isn't the original one and isn't as good. The dash board has some cracks, but I've seen far worse.

As far as I'm aware everything works as it should.

In summary its a tidy car with room for improvement, but wants nothing thats likely to be expensive.
