Hi Cogsy :)

I am really pleased you are considering rebuilding it :)

I personally hate it when unique cars like this get broken, although I can understand why, with the huge amount of work needed....

If it was mine , as a runner and assuming its driveable, I would now take it for an MOT...

I realise it has no chance of passing but its a VERY cheap way to find out whats needed mechanically to get it back on the road...

Of course you can legally drive it to an MOT with no Mot or Tax.... although it should be insured or you could trailer it to the MOT if not insured...make sure the MOT is "Pre- booked" though if driving it...

All the best Brett :)

If anyone is still looking for a 928 Strosek, here is one I have found on autotrader (if the link works).

I'm looking for an 80-84 S project car - The Strosek would have been ideal.

I don't like the look of that S4, the lights are horrific!

Cogsy, you should listen to your wife! haha!

Hi Cogsy :)

Before you do ANY work I would take it for an MOT... I REALLY REALLY would...

The reason being that just imagine (highly unlikely) that the whole of the underside is totally rusted away. mine needed its first welding last year but mine wasnt stored for 9 years....

Or there may be other major faults that could only be seen on an MOT ramp.....

Worth a try anyway....

All the best Brett :)

Haha fair enough! Your missus hasn't talked you into letting me have it yet then? :)

Keep us all updated Cogsy, I don't know about the rest of them but I am certainly keen on knowing what is going on with this car!

Hi,

Whats the deal with the Mk II Golf? It's parked up next to the 928 in one of the pictures. Now that, I might be interested in.

Ben :bounce:

hi ben the vw parked next to it is a mk1 gti it belonged to the guy whom i bought the porsche off, he needed them moving for the renavation to the properties, he ended up donating it to a local garage for the apprentice mechanic to learn about his trade, apparently it is in good working order and running now

Llewelyn, I know of another 928 Strosek for sale (in white with a private 928 reg too). Are you still interested? Give me a call if you want.
