 Post subject: Bringing Paintwork back to it's original shine.

Hi, could anyone give advice about what product to use to the bring the paintwork of my 944 back to it's original black shine, i've heard T-Cut is to severe, Gaz.

T/cut will do more harm than good.

It depends on the damage and how flat the paint has become.

Wash, clay bar, polish then wax is the general tried and tested process. Meguiars do a half decent 3 stage system to get you started and with the clay bar kit it will cost about £40.

You could use a machine polisher to give it a greater depth of shine and remove light scratches and swirl ,marks.

Some say he slaughters virgin angorra rabbits for the perfect polishing cloth, other that his speedster sleeps on freshly prepared goose down every night........

But rest assured the bufty force is strong with this man and wise men pay heed to his pearls of wisdom


In other words i agree - if the shine doesnt come up with a meguairs polish then something like Sonus that has a little cutting action (but not T cut horrific) and can be used by hand.
