We're off to Silverstone again this July for the Classic event. Over 600 Race cars will be on display and/or racing over the weekend and there will be around 4,000 classic road cars on display with various car club displays including our own. Racing will be cars from the 1920's through to 1980's F1 and rumour has it that Derek Bell will be racing over the weekend. Huge trade mall and period funfair make this a great event for the whole family.
Full details of the event are here: http://www.silverstone.co.uk/php/rm_classical.html

The club has obtained (thanks to John Brookes) a special two for one offer on tickets provided they are booked by 31st March. and the price includes an infield parking pass so that you can park up next to the club gazebo near to all the action.
Prices are:

Friday 25th - £15
Saturday 26th - £20
Sunday 27th - £20
or 3 day pass for £35

Accompanied under 16's are free

Remember its 2 for 1 until 31st March and only available by phone booking. Dial 0871 703 3848 and quote SCIPC for your discounted tickets.

These prices and the two for one deal expire on 31st March so book now or you'll pay more later.

Don't quite understand this statement Paul, do we only have limited display numbers/passes and these are booked up for Sunday or are you just saying you have booked in.

Just saying I have booked for sunday. The Club will have an area infield over all three days so that our members can park up near to the action. At present we're not too sure whether the stand will be manned on friday as that will be the quiet day but it will be manned all weekend.
I'm not too sure whether Silverstone will put a limit on our numbers - last year our area was quite tight so I guess its the same as most events, you should book early or risk disappointment later.

Hi

Booked for the event this morning.

I was asked if I was going to display my car and said yes and gave the registration number. Also gave the discount code.

So I will be there on Saturday and Sunday with a passenger both days. Including the booking fee that cost me £42.

Sounds less expensive that Bernie's Formula 1 G.P's to me.

Before anyone asks I also think the event is more enjoyable than F1.

Rob and I are booked in for a weekend pass, both cars to display (if there's room) and it cost us £36...bargain! We just need to book somewhere to stay on Saturday night.

I'm interested in going and taking my 9 year old son along. Is there anywhere to camp on site?
