Anyone going next weekend Sunday 24th ?, if you arrive in your pre 1989 car you only pay £10 to get in and you park with all the other classics on show ,otherwise it's full admission.we went last year and it was a great day out, then on the 25th it's supercar showdown which is also very good with lots of exotic machinery giving it the beans on a short sprint section, there was a big porsche gathering last year .
Hope to see some of you there

Hi :)

I did the Supercar showdown a couple of years ago....

When it came to the drivers briefing for the standing start run...they pulled me to one side and said "your car is too powerful" and would not let me run...lol

Myabe it was the fact I was in my Nomex Race suit etc... or maybe they just didnt want some VERY expensive cars shown up...

In the afternoon they also had at 4 pm, a drive around a square of roads (including the drag straight) where everyone was MEANT to be very close to the car in front and do a maximum of 15 mph....

Somehow the car in front of me was around 200 yards away by the time we turned the corner onto the "drag straight"....

So obviously I "had" to turn on my Nitrous to catch him up ..... :)

Huge fun and for some reason I didnt get invited the following year lol...

All the best Brett :)

Brett - if you ever find yourself in the north west, be sure to look in on tipec NW. You sound like you'd fit right in!

well that was wet this year!!
Entry in and out was much, much better though.
Some of the runs were cancelled due to the weather- I ended up testing the water followed by the Veyron- who left for home after just the one run!

Large number of crowds considering the weather and we were once again looked after for catering by the organisers..

Plenty of supercars braved a wet Bank Holiday Monday at Beaulieu. A very enjoyable day despite the constant rain.
