Me and my mate are going to Ragley Show tomorrow in my 968; arriving at about 10/00am.

Very pleasant day mostly in sunshine at Ragley today (Sunday). 4 or 5 of us parked together on TIPEC section, but I saw a few other Porsches elsewhere on the site including Colin's immaculate 944 Turbo.

Arrived around 9.30 and the queue to enter had already reached main entrance. Must have been worse queues later when non-display cars started arriving (they had to share same entrance). This is one of shows Gemini has taken over from Transtar - I was chatting to one of Gemini organisers in their tent, and he was generally happy but fretting about problems getting cars into the show.

For once Ragley not chilly/soaked anyway!

For anyone who wants to convoy in, me and my buddy are meeting at the Throckmorton arms at 10am.

Considering how long the drive up to the pay gates is, that's quite shocking!!
It's a real shame they can't get that sorted, whilst PCGB still gets grief from the show that Brett reminds us of, it would seem that the venue has more to blame than many think.

I attended on a normal a day open day a while back and had to queue to get in then!
Upon getting into the grounds, there was hardly anyone there??

A lot is down to venue having single lane road from (single) entrance to payment area/pass checks. Not sure how this could ever be resolved unless his lordhip or whoever bulldozed more entrances into the Ragley estate! I would say the queue was no worse than any major show I've attended - Beaulieu next week will be no better unless you make sure to arrive early! The more charming venues are always going to struggle to cope with volumes of vehicles they were never intended for, compared with places like Silverstone with multiple entrances and multi lanes. I do feel sympathy for owners of vehicles more prone to overheating in traffic though (not mentioning Stags or E-types)

Went in on Monday with my local Cotswold Classic Car Club, bit of a queue at about 10am, nothing serious, was told that Sunday was a problem with police complaining of cars stacking on the highway to get in! Porsche were thin on the ground, my 924 being a lone representative of the model!

Noticed a well executed and understated Corvette engined 944.
