A few of us attended the annual Northampton Balloon Festival over the weekend.

I gotta admit, we did spend most of the day wetting our pants................we had the "privilege" of having a Ferrari owner turn up with his two prize assets, and ended up parking in the middle of our illustrious display of German engineering. They then spent their entire day "guarding" to two vehicles, which became too much for them so they asked the organisers to minetape their little piece of Italy...............

and this didn't work either, as the local kids decided that wasn't going to stop them opening the doors, and some totty sat on his bonnet for a photo shoot   oh how we chortled..........

Unfortunately, as it was too windy, the "balloon" festival turned into just a festival, as they wouldn't allow the balloons to fly.

..........nope, it didn't get off the ground.

A wonderful day - the weather held off, and we generated a huge amount of interest in the vehicles.
And some more piccies for you........

Haley thinks 'If that bloody Graham takes my picture while I'm stood here on my own, I'll slap him!'

Top day, particularly enjoyed the magical mystery tour in convoy trying to get into the place.

Giant rabbits, minature horses, Sean's dirty mags and the stressed out Ferrari owner made up for the lack of balloons.

Is the stressed out Fezza owner the same one who parked his car in the middle of the TIPEC parking at Gaydon at the annual show? Doesn't he have any Ferrari friends out there to play with, or are you trying to encourage him to buy a porker so he can join in!

The Fezza owner was a prize plank.

It was hilarious to watch him and his mate defend the cars against the great unwashed. :D

Good show and a good laugh, so who finished up with the porn?

You're very brave, Haley reads the forum and is delighted she is the subject of a caption competition.

She will probably discuss this with you over din dins tonight.

He at least apologised for not bringing Pork! He was either a member or a friend of some, knew plenty of people there.

Yep, the Ferrari owner at Gaydon was with the 911 & Porsche World crowd. Apologised for leaving his Porsche at home and asked if he could please park with his mates’ cars anyway. He was so nice about it all, I figured he deserved the honour. Besides, it was a very nice motor—not your average red Fezza boredom-mobile.

That's amazing. I found out about it being cancelled last night, on (of all places)................facebook!!

A friend of mine has joined the group "Save the Northampton balloon festival".

Looks like we're going to have a free weekend in the summer months then. Shame, cuz I was going to ring the Ferrari owner, and ask if he wanted to join us

That's sad

It was a good event last year and well attended

The only down side was the wind which prevented flying

This year the only down side appears to be the Local Authority

What a shame, we'll have to find something else to do that weekend.
