Post subject:  TIPEC Dyno Day nr Bournemouth

Right, I've been thinking about this one for a while.... I'm looking to organise a dyno day at Triton Motorsports, nr Bournemouth. It's the rolling road that Jon Mitchell uses and he assures me that it's the same type as the one at Silverstone so can be trusted  I'm looking at a Saturday in October and Jon has volunteered to do some sort of BBQ or bacon sarnie affair at his workshop on completion. Ive spoken to Andy at Triton and we're looking at around 25 cars max at £35 per car. I'll bring some cars down from the Bristol area so my first thought is to invite the local regions if they want to attend?? If lone TIPEC members are interested, you would of course be welcome. If I can't fill all the spaces, I'll open it up to allcomers.

So, I need to gauge the interest. Please let me know if you fancy it and if I think it's a goer, I'll sort out a definite date and open up a list... Over to you guys! :D

All the best Brett :)

Hi Paul :)

As I will be working, I may have to ask to book a time for my dyno run within a one hour period if thats ok ?

Secondly...is there a prize for highest hp he says innocently :)

All the best Brett :)

Hi

If your 928 is an auto you _might_ not be able to record a full power curve.
On the dyno day i went to recently there was a GTS there and they could not record at the top end as it kept kicking down..

Hi Adam :)

That wont be a problem on my Nitrous....I already have a dyno sheet with 505 hp/512 ft lbs torque...

The problem will be holding it down...last dyno I did (with a LOT less Nitrous than I run now) they had to use 12 straps (all they had) as it kept trying to launch itself out of the rollers :(

All the best Brett :)

Alrighty then. Well make sure you put up a scanned copy of the dyno sheet for interests sake. That goes out to all, not just Brett in fact. Hey if I can manage it..

Brett

Your signature says 1000hp, is that estimated? and can we expect that on the dyno?
