Went today with the SELNK crew, billed as the biggest 1 day car show in the country.

What a shame that it rained all day, hopefully next year we will get to see it all properly.

Our spirits were lifted when Gill and Pat, got breakfast underway. An endless supply of bacon and sausage sandwiches to keep us all going.

Here's Jim tucking into one of his :P

Thanks for publishing that Sean. We were working it out, in SELNK events over 6 years we've had 3 wet events & unfortunately this was one. Good mix of cars on our stand even if 944s were under represented!

I'd personally like to thank Jim for taking his time showing around his 944 & talking me through some of the pointers for when i buy my 944, Jim through his own admittance said he's car is not a mint example, but how refreshing it is to see a non mint car on a club stand these days !!, & i felt very welcomed from the start, those who were in the tent seem to be having a great time & all mucking in together, this is definately my kind of club, will be getting my membership sorted very soon :hello1: thanks again Jim your a star, Jinxy

The Club is very much about the people, the cars are what bring us all together.

Let us know how you get on with your search and please ask questions.

Thanks Sean, yes ive always said a club should be about the people rather than the cars, its the people who make it what it is. I will definately keep you updated on my purchase & will be asking lots of questions dont worry about that !! :-) , cheers Jinxy

Yes it was a shame that the rain couldn't hold off another day, or maybe a month or two lol but was glad I came & gave the car its first outing of the year!

Bromley is normally one of those shows that i used to attend every year... that was until they changed the flaming date  now it clashes with LeMans 24 hour race which i drive to every year, this year being difference because i have a Porsche to save for & a garden to finish  . So it'll be LeMans in the Porsche next year for me then :bounce: .
