Your signature says 1000hp, is that estimated? and can we expect that on the dyno?

Rich

Hi Rich :)

Well....my 928 has around 350 + 1000 of Nitrous...

So in "theory" I have 1350 hp....

Hard to prove though as , I spoke to Triton today and they say that if their dyno hits 1000 hp, it all flashes red and cuts off :)

The other problem for me with Triton is that I cannot just hit 1000 hp of Nitrous in one go, I would have to increase power over several (5,6,7) runs, and on that dyno days people will get 2 or 3 runs only...

When I get a minute spare I am going over to see their dyno operator to have a chat and see what he thinks....

Will let you all know...

All the best Brett :)

Date is looking like it will be October 25th. I will confirm asap... I intend to put together a schedule with timings so those that want to can book a slot that suits them. Gordon, are you still on for a BBQ? And are there any other ROs that can push this with their regions??

Newport, South Wales. Just one question. I have synchro problems so changing into 4th at high revs is ropey. do they wind it on slowly or redline it in every gear with no let up in between shifts?
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike :)

They usually redline it in each gear to get a maximum power (hp) reading....

But if you ask, I would think they will stop the run at the top of third for you....

You will still get a chart from that :)

All the best Brett :)

Mike, you're in.

A further update... Jon Mitchell is happy to sponsor the event, specifically the BBQ, some trophies for a concours, and for the dyno day (T-shirts/hats for different power outputs), and maybe rear window stickers as well.

We need to fill the slots though so let's get some more names!! Having said that, even if you're not running on the dyno, it promises to be a good day - free food, mega bhp monsters, and really shiny cars, so spread it around to everyone.

More to follow...
