Hi I have a 928 S2 my next job for this summer is the Headlamp washers. However I can't find the pump and the manuals don't seem to have any thing on it. My best guess is behind the drivers front wheel arch lining but before I start taking things to bits does anyone know where the pump is and is there any easy way to access the rear of the washer nozzles ? Regards Ade |

Regards Ade Hi Ade ![]() One thing I do know is that to replace the washer jets you have to remove the WHOLE FRONT PU ![]() Thats why I have 2 new ones in my garage lol...no way I am going to those lengths to change them... All the best Brett ![]() |

Look under the front PU and you will see the pump. |

Thanks Chaps JDS Porsche, The pump you can see under the front PU in front of the radiator is the auxiliary washer system pump I think as it is connected to the Auxiliary tank at the front ? Ade |

Oh ! My bad ![]() There are 3 pumps on an S2. The one inside the engine compartment almost under the brake senvo is the main screen wash pump. There's another next to the washer reservoir under the wheel arch liner, driver's side IIRC. |

Thanks JDSPorsche, that was my guess. I think if I can't sort it from there I will give in. I don't really fancy taking the front PU off to get to the jets |

In for a penny, in for a pound. Take pictures, send them and some words to Tony and it will be a great write up for AT. |

I don't really fancy taking the front PU off to get to the jets Hi ![]() That was my thinking. particularly after talking to Paul Anderson about it...lol... He said...you HAVE to take off the front PU....you CANNOT reach them otherwise...he also said that IF you decide to take off the PU ...a LOT of the bolts WILL shear off and not undo properly..... That decided me lol.... Mine actually do work (not that they do much unless the headlights are caked with mud) the reason I got new ones to change them was the plastic surrounds were broken slightly... But just not worth it for that much work... All the best Brett ![]() |

Have confirmed the headlamp washer motor is the one on the bottom of the washer-bottle. The electrics work so the pump is defunct, I've bought a replacement of e-bay so I just hope the nozzles are not blocked. |
