Hi everyone,
First I would like to thank you for all the good advice received during replacing the head gaskets on my 4.7 16v.
Took a while but done it in the end.
Started the engine and was running very rough and backfiring. Having bought the car with a blown head gasket I don't know if it was running ok before that so I started looking into cleaning the injectors. Read a few posts and I decided to replace them with new ones. After fitting the new genuine Bosch injectors the engine run a bit better but still far from perfect. Cleaned all the leads, distributor cap and rotor. Done the ignition timing with a lamp but not too sure if I done it correctly, the manual is not very clear about the 16v engines. Does anyone know at what degree it should be before the TDC?
Do you know any specialist near Brighton who can do a diagnostic check on these engines?
Regards,

Dan
