Post subject:	removing old head gasket from block
Hi Everyone, Finally managed to take the cylinder heads out, will send them for pressure testing and skimming soon. I need to clean the head gasket residue off the block, would Nitromorse do the job? Car-Plan do a gasket remover, has anyone used it before? I know I have to be extremely carefull with this so I'll try to avoid scraping the block with razor blades etc. Cheers, Dan

Some of the gasket removers work, Practical Classics tested some a while ago & some made the job easier. I always use copious amounts of brake cleaner (buy in bulk from factors) & a selection of wood chisels & loads of patience.
