Hi Folks

As mentioned on page 29 of the latest All Torque, Central Region are holding a 928 "Garage Day" organised by Steve Jones and Adrian Langford.
The event will run from 10am to approximately 4pm at Steve's home near Uttoxeter, Staffs.
Once the attendees are confirmed I will PM the full address to each.

Steve has kindly offered to lay on tea/coffee and provide toilet facilities but you should bring a packed lunch along unless you head off to a local pub at lunchtime.

Included on the day (subject to time etc) will be:-

- Demo of Flexplate Check, pressure release and Crank Play/Movement Measurement
- Demo of Bosch Hammer tuner
- Demo to show how 3rd level brake-light fitting was completed on SCJ's 928
- LED Upgrade Demo
- Demo replacement of Bonnet struts
- Removal of door panels
- CamBelt tension check
- and possibly more

Please advise at the earliest if you would like to attend as we are very limited on numbers due to space and I expect this event to be well over subscribed! First come basis for this one

Regards

Paul :D

Hi,
I live in the forest of dean in gloucestershire and I am a member but both my 928's are off the road as one is undergonig a complete restoration & the other is for donar parts, you may remember me from the NEC show or Gaydon !. If I could attend this would be of great help to me in restoring my car however I understand I am not in your region, spaces are limited & I don't have a 928 to come in but if there is space I would love to come.

Hi,
Thanks for invite and if there is space can I bring my father inlaw along who you also meet in the past as he is spending most of his time in the week working on parts for us to fit back on to the car at weekends.

I understand if this is not possible due to numbers however.

Thanks
Malcolm

Thanks Steve, very kind of you to offer, just put my '81 S back on the road with a trip to York and back after buying it as a project after being stored for 5 years last November,it ran beautifully and i am smitten by the 928 bug, what a wonderfull driving experience, even the fuel consumption wasn't bad!
kind regards,GN

I don't have any problem with your Father in Law coming along but I will check with Steve first as it's his place we are using.

Hi Paul & Steve,
Thanks for this & look forward to meeting you all on the day, also if you can give me an address or postcode at some stage I can use the sat nav to find you on the day.
Also if you can let me know if most people are going to the local pub for lunch or coming with food then we will do them same.

Thanks
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm

Answering on Paul's behalf. Paul or I can provide you with my full address details off the list, for obvious reasons. I think Paul is planning to do this by mail as the event date gets closer.

As for lunch, I think the general idea was to spend the day active on the cars so guess most will be bringing something along. There is a pub close by if anyone wants to nip off for some hot food and a pint, but it was our understanding that time will be tight for Paul, Adrian & Myself working on the cars so a mass visit to the pub was unlikely.

Hope that helps answer your questions.

Steve
