Hi All :)

I have finally had the last part of my Clifford 650/G5 alarm system fitted....

Its a "Voice Command Module"

What this entails is as follows...

As the alarm has a proximity alarm (bubble around the car roughly 2 feet away from car), it usually goes CHUURRRPPP when someone gets too close to the car....

Now the voice unit is fitted , it says "Step away from the car", although I will reprogram it to my voice, although not sure quite yet what to say, in the 5 seconds allowed.... I thought maybe "step away or die" lol...

It also gives the car an external PA system, with a small mike mounted top left of the instrument pod, which when I press a small button on the back of the mike allows me to speak through the external speaker...

When the alarm system is armed, instead of beeps it now says in an American voice "system armed" and "system disarmed" when alarm is turned off....

Those 2 commands are not changeable for some strange reason....

To be honest the best part of the whole (very expensive - around £1000) system is the "Intellistart" system (remote starting), as at least I never have to get in a cold car again (daily driver)

All the best Brett :)

:) £1000 just to get in a warm car is a bit excessive Brett, how about "Don't even think about it, you couldn't handle the power"! :)

Hi :)

The real reason I spent all that is the total value of the car and the amount of work I have put into what is basically an experimental Nitrous system, which at the moment is a one off and totally irreplaceable...

The car is probably worth around 5K and the Nitrous stuff around 10K...lol

I like the suggestion though :) :)

All the best Brett :)
