My new steering rack has arrived. Should be done next week. Can't wait!
Should make a big difference.
Just need to fix the windows, get the blower working, re fit the window surrounds, get some welding done and a respray and she is done!! Oh and fix the dash lights and fog lamps, new headlight reflector and install the new rear PU, front bumper and number plate lights.

Hi Paul :)

Only a couple of hours work then lol....

Who is doing the respray for you and how much by the way ?

You realise by the time you have finished that little lot you will have a new list of things to do lol ??

All the best Brett :)

Hi Brett,
Undecided at the moment on who is going to do the respray. I have had a couple of estimates without the car being seen (one of £800 and another of £2000), but once I have the steering sorted will drop it in to a couple of body shops and see what they say.
I was almost tempted to get the panels with issues done, except it is the tailgate, rear quarter, bonnet, passanger door and front wing!
The panels themselves are in good condition just the laquer that has failed unfortunately.
I have bought a bonnet, two wings, a door and front and rear bumper which I was going to get sprayed off the car and then just get the quarter and tailgate done. I was then going to swap the panels over myself. Thought it might really help with the stripping and rebuilding labour.
Will let you know how I get on.
Regards
Paul
