building classic race 928 , in need of lsd , and tubular exhaust manifolds, will take good manual gearbox , can get everything state side but thought give it a go here first, phone derek 01555-841000

If you want an 8 plate one similar to the one I just fitted, you will need either the early 928 8 plate LSD or if you can get the later one its only 4 plate, I have a conversion kit from the US which will convert it into an 8 plate, it cost me £200 and is brand new if you need it....

The difference between 4 and 8 plate is % of lockup...

8 plate = 80% lockup

4 plate = 40% lockup

hi brett will take you up on that offer, tookk rear casing of gearbox , it has a lsd ,, casing is stamped 81, in a jan 79 car, looks like its been changed . at some time in its life span , the diff is certainaly not working , with no risistance at all , plates may be worn, , going pull diff out next hour , strip and see how many plates there are,.but if you have a kit will be better just to fit that, if i can have a number to contact you , thanks derek

job sorted, took diff out was a 8plate, but not working , made up 2 10 thou shims , , made torque plate,, set diff torque on bench before fitting back in car, another job out the way
