Thursday was cold but sunny, I decided to get the 928 out as it had not been used for 2 weeks. After a bit of sulking the engine ran great, nothing went wrong, and even the aircon worked! Reminded me how nice the 928 is to drive, plus the usual Mondeo on my rear bumper, too scared to attempt an overtake. Had to indicate left to let him pass. No heroics in 30mph zone for me. Went on the local (Whaley Bridge) bypass, got it up to, erm, 70mph and I hope no cameras were about. Automatic transmission is SO much better since topping up the fluid properly, with the engine running. Worth checking if not already done. If it's up to the high mark on the resevoir with the engine OFF it's low on fluid, by about a litre. Tyre pressure warning came on. Oh no, I thought....but it was just low tyre pressure in the O/S front. Fitted new front sidelights from ebay, at a third of the OPC price, and they are identical. Surprised at how much brighter the lights are with new units. |

Nice to hear you enjoying the car and not telling us of your latest woes. I'll be dropping the hood on the 4S this afternoon and blowing the cobwebs off. ![]() |

Well, yes, it does make a change from "oh no what now" kind of postings, that I've done quite a bit of. The 928 is so well engineered, and easy to work on (for a supercar). You want to try home maintenance on a Ferrari 328. |
