Dave's post about new 928 members reminded me to post details about a gathering of 928 owners at the Merry Miller pub near Abingdon, Oxfordshire on Sat 5th December.

I'm not putting this in the events section as it's officially a 928 Register event organised by Andrew Brierley under PCGB. In practice all 928 owners or those interested in the car are very welcome to come along. In true 928 style (organising 928 owners is like herding cats) there's no formal structure. Just turn up from 11am for a chat in the car park or in the pub which has excellent food. People leave around 3pm but come and go as you please.

The Merry Miller
Cothill Rd
Dry Sandford
nr, Abingdon

So far over 30 928s have confirmed attendance. Over 30 928s in one place is a big deal on planet 928. If you'd like to come along please email Andrew via the link on the www.928.org.uk site

Hi Adrain,

My 928 is scheduled to go to Glasgow for a full respray this weekend so I won't have it.
I will try to come along in my 944 Turbo (now wearing its CUP 2 winter wheels which came off my 928).
The 5th is my brothers birthday and the 6th is my wives but I'll try to swing it.
I will try to get Peter Clough who owns Alan Well's old SE along too.

Live and breathe the Marque,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Would be good to see you there, with or without GTS.

I thought your car looked terrific at Harewood House in the summer. What's behind the idea of a respray?

Hi Adrian,

The paint looks good at a distance.
However when you look at the paint job closely there are faults on every single panel.
I don't trust the shop that originally did the work to put it right.

Stewart Gordon and one of his painter friends are doing me a total respray in Glasgow.
I have seen their work and it is very good plus I have know Stewart over 12 years and have 100% trust in him.

Once I get it back I want to spruce up the interior (I've already done the front seats since Harwood House) and get offside wheels refurbed. I want it to look as good as when I collected it from the factory.

Live and breathe the Marque,
Stephen

Would love to come along again to the meeting but going to North West Christmas do on the Friday/Saturday, so will miss it.

Regards
John
