 Post subject: Lights out!

Hi, first time I driven my 928 in the dark..and the dash and consul lights are out..all warnings lights etc are ok when I turn over and ive tried the rotary wheel under the dash..still no good..they were working when I bough the car. What do you think.. a Fuse? any help appreciated. Thanks RT :D

Hi :)

I still think its the rotary dimmer under the dash...

Mine did exactly what yours did,,,,, suddenly lost dash lights soon after I bought it...

I started twisting the little wheel a LOT back and forwards.....and they came back permanently...

It may be something else of course...

Hi, been out in the car again today..twidled this rotary switch furiously..still no joy..all the "symbols" on the dash seem to be "lit" ok though..its a little frustrating.. :?

Rule out the dimmer by jumping it. If lights come on then that's the problem.

Just to add something that might help. I didnt even know the rotary wheels were there until I took my pod out yesterday to start work on the steering bearing.
What I found was that one of the connections had fallen off the rotary wheel. Might be as simple as that to fix!
