Hi all, picking this up this week. Car has not been used for 20 years and had been kept inside up to 2 years ago. Some little scrotes broke the back window and tried to jemmy the locks outside the sellers house! Don't know whether to sell on as a project or break for parts. Back is very soggy with the window broken as the cover the seller had on it leaked. Car has done 57,000 miles from new and was taken off the road due to a blown head gasket in 1987!. The block apparently had a bit of corrosion on it. Top end has been stripped off it so heads are loosely placed on. All the other engine parts are in the boot! Teledials are nice and original. Interior is brown leather (even the head cloth!) seats even have reasonable bolsters on them! Have original key, service book (new from Glen Hendersons in Edinburgh!) and old style V5. If nobody wants it after a couple of weeks, it will go for the chop after being robbed! Would be a shame to chop an original UK first year car!

Umm interesting it is an auto? That is a major project for someone but bodily looks very good so would be a shame to break.

PS Bits arrived safely Friday many thanks.

Yep, it is an Auto Jim. Interior is very damp with the rain getting in but all parts looked to be there from what I could see. Would be an interesting project but I have enough of those already! Need to get shot of my old Lotus Elan next!!!! Glad the bits turned up.
