Post subject:  SEAT PROBLEM AND CAR HAS NO MANUAL ADJUSTMENT

Hi Guys,

I've just got my car back.
The drivers is stuck at the extreme back position so we can't get to the seat bolts.
I've never had a problem with this seat before.
The Motor works but the cable on one side is jammed.
What really foxes me is that the car has NO WAY of manually adjusting the seat.
The drivers manual and the workshop manual show an alan key emergency adjustment.
Porsche appear to have done away with this on the later cars.
I have a 1988 Silver Rose parked next to the GTS and on the 944 Turbo I can see the emergency adjustors.
My GTS simply DOES NOT HAVE THEM!

We have sprayed inside the cable etc but no luck getting them moving.

Any suggestions that do not involve matches?

PS
Yesterday a 928 S4 was weighed in for scrap metal at a local breakers.
What is the world comimg too?
Will try to see it today.

Just a quick note to say the problem was caused by wear on one end of the flexible drive rods. After the part was replaced the seat worked fine.
